Path to Licensure Institute

The Path to Licensure Institute allows selected social work educators to delve into the details of professional regulation and take a leadership role in integrating licensing and regulation throughout the social work curriculum.

Scholars

Scholars selected to participate in the institute:

  • Learn about integrating information on social work licensing into the social work curriculum
  • Implement a Path to Licensure program tailored for their schools
  • Complete research on social work regulation
  • Receive a stipend to cover participation in the summer intensive meeting

Intensive

The Path to Licensure Institute centers on a multiday intensive held at ASWB headquarters every two years. Taught by faculty with a background in social work teaching and social work regulation, the intensive lays the groundwork for participating scholars’ Path to Licensure projects.

Most registrations, scheduling, and score reporting will continue through ASWBCentral. Requests requiring staff attention will be processed in early July. Most inquiries can expect a response within three business days of our return to the office.
