Authorization to Test expiration date extension
If circumstances prevent you from testing before your Authorization to Test expires, you may request an extension of your authorization period. Extensions may be granted for up to six months, depending on your board approval.
Submit this form within 30 days of the expiration date to find out whether you are eligible to extend your registration expiration date.
If you have scheduled a testing appointment with PSI and are not able to test, it is your responsibility to cancel the appointment. Follow the guidelines in the ASWB Exam Guidebook for canceling a testing appointment. If you don’t cancel your appointment and miss your exam, you will lose your registration fee. Because your extension request may not be approved, you should give yourself enough time to attempt to test if your request is denied.
If you are approved for an extension, you will be notified by email of the new Authorization to Test expiration date. Your jurisdiction’s approval may determine whether you may receive an extension or the length of the extension given.
Candidates are allowed no more than one extension of up to six months per examination registration.
