Delegates elect leaders to the ASWB Board of Directors and Nominating Committee

ASWB delegates elected four members to the ASWB Board of Directors and two members to the Nominating Committee at the organization’s 2025 Annual Meeting of the Delegate Assembly in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Géraldine Poirier Baiani of New Brunswick was elected Treasurer for a second full term. Sonia Bilkhu of British Columbia was re-elected Director at Large; Kimberly Jackson of Virginia and Jared Douglas Ferguson of Utah were also elected to two-year terms as Directors at Large.

Brian Philson of Michigan completed his term as President and passed the gavel to incoming President Kenya Anderson of Tennessee, who will serve for two years. Anderson’s two-year term as President began at the conclusion of the 2025 Annual Meeting. She was elected President-Elect at the 2024 Annual Meeting.

Philson will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as Past President through November 2026. Other incumbents remaining on the Board include Secretary Endsley Real of Georgia and Directors at Large Adrienne Ekas of Maryland, Vikki Erickson of Nevada, D. Scott Stephens of South Carolina, and Stephan A. Viehweg of Indiana.

Directors at Large Brian Brumley of Texas and Brenda Dennis of Arizona concluded their terms on the Board of Directors at the annual meeting and were recognized for their service.

ASWB delegates also elected Yvette Gosline of North Carolina and Veronica Knowles of Mississippi to two-year terms on the Nominating Committee. They join incumbents Whitney Cassity-Caywood of Kentucky, Elizabeth Crone of Arkansas, and Fran Franklin of Delaware. 2025 committee chair Ebon Freeman-James of North Carolina and committee member Alverta Muhammad of Ohio concluded their terms on the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee is charged with developing slates of candidates for ASWB Board of Directors and Nominating Committee elections each year.
