Organizations that offer continuing education in New Jersey must have each course approved in advance by a formally recognized entity, such as ASWB. ASWB is an authorized continuing education approval entity of the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners.
How to apply for course approval
Apply to the ASWB New Jersey Continuing Education Course Approval Program by completing the forms below. Adobe Reader XI (free) is required, available on the Adobe website.
Download each file to a computer, complete the required fields, and save frequently.
Review the Program Instructions before getting started for important information and items to note.
The application consists of three forms: Section I – Application Cover Page, Section II – Individual Course Application, and Section III – Application Payment Form. ALL SECTIONS ARE REQUIRED.
Complete Section II – Individual Course Application for each course submitted for approval.
Complete Section III – Application Payment Form and submit it per the instructions on the form.
How to file for approval
Send completed forms via mail or email to the addresses noted in the Program Instructions. Payments can be mailed, faxed or made by phone.
