Open positions

In 2021, delegates will elect individuals for the following positions:

On behalf of the Nominating Committee, thank you for your interest in the election process.

The charge of the Nominating Committee is to prepare a slate; recommendations are only to assist the committee by identifying qualified candidates. The Nominating Committee is tasked with examining candidate qualifications and choosing the best candidates for the positions to be filled, while considering geographic and ethnic diversity, involvement with ASWB, and education/experience needed to meet the demands of the position.

Recommendations may be made by boards as a whole or by any member board member or staff member. Individuals may recommend themselves.

Current members of the Nominating Committee are ineligible for nomination to another elected position during the term of their committee service. The bylaws also prohibit Nominating Committee members from resigning from the committee in order to run for another office. Refer to the ASWB bylaws section on the Nominating Committee.

During the vetting process, candidates may be required to disclose background information.

Each nominee who is slated will be required to email a photo suitable to be duplicated and submit a form with a biography, a summary of experience with ASWB, and a candidate’s statement.

If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Ryder, volunteer engagement and outreach senior manager.
