The ASWB Approved Continuing Education program is pleased to announce the publication of the ACE Handbook, a new resource for ACE providers and applicants that consolidates and clarifies the information needed to complete a successful application or renewal by organizing the requirements and presenting them in a single document.
The new handbook reimagines the process of gaining ACE provider approval by grouping each essential detail and program requirement under one of the 29 standards that ACE providers must meet. The standards are organized into seven categories:
- Meeting regulatory requirements
- Applying social work values and ethics
- Working with ACE
- Ensuring course quality and relevance
- Delivering learning experiences
- Promoting and advertising
- Administering the CE program and courses
A link to a procedures document makes information about the ACE application process easy to access. It contains links to forms, information about fees and payment, instructions on submitting application materials and course samples, and information about the review process, remaining in good standing with ACE, renewals, and more. A robust appendix is part of the ACE Handbook. It offers helpful checklists, samples, application forms, and other informational material.
The ASWB ACE program approves providers of continuing education and is accepted by 50 jurisdictions in North America. ACE approval demonstrates that a provider has been rigorously reviewed and found to offer quality continuing education according to best practices.
The ACE Handbook is available via the ACE Handbook web page.
