What are the big issues?

That depends on who you talk to. For most social workers, social work consumers, and the Association of Social Work Boards, one of the most important issues has to do with uniformity—or the lack of it.

Regulated social workers with an MSW and at least 2 years of supervised experience:
LSW, LISW, LCSW, LICSW, LSCSW, LCSWC, LMSW-AP, LMSW-ACP, CSW, CISW, CICSW, CMSW, CCSW, CSWP, CSW-PIP, PIP

Regulated social workers with an MSW and no post-degree experience:
SW, MSW, GSW, ASW, CSW, CMSW, CSWA, LSW, LMSW, LGSW, LCSW, CAPSW

Regulated social workers with a BSW and no post-degree experience:
SW, SSW, BSW, CSW, CBSW, RSW, LSW, LSWA, LBSW

And this doesn't even include all the other credentials, designations and certifications available...
