ASWB offers an online registration system that allows you to sign up for the examinations from your computer, and pay the exam fee through a major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).

In order to take an ASWB examination, you must register with ASWB and pay the required exam fee of $175. Please allow three business days to receive email registration status.

Please note: In order to register, you MUST be eligible to take the social work examination. In most jurisdictions, this means that you must have received notification from your social work board that you may take the ASWB examination.

A few jurisdictions allow candidates to sit for the exam without prior approval. If you are not sure whether you need pre-approval from your board, contact the board to find out. To get contact information for your board, click here.
