Your test results will be forwarded to the board in the jurisdiction in which you wish to be licensed. Generally, if you had to obtain that board’s permission to take the examination, the board will contact you regarding your licensure status after you take the test. If you were not required to get approval from the board to take this test, you will need to contact the board for application materials, if you haven’t already done so. See the list on the right for exceptions. If you fail the examCandidates who fail the ASWB examination will be supplied with diagnostic information outlining their performance on the test. Please note that some jurisdictions limit the number of times a candidate may retake an ASWB examination. In all cases, you must wait 90 days before taking another ASWB examination. You will need to register and pay the full examination fee again to re-take the examination.
